Back on the BART and the cable cars, went straight to the Alcatraz trip area this time and across to the island 10 minutes later. Very interesting trip, even Jane found it so and she isn’t in to museums and things of that nature. The tour of the cell block area is extremely well done with an audio guided system, where to go, who did what and when.
We didn’t get back to the mainland until 15.30 so a mooch along the pier front again, a couple of beers then back on the cable car to Powell street. Another quick trip on the BART which is met by a bus. The driver even dropped us off at the RV even though it was not an official stop, he called it a courtesy stop, for which my legs were very grateful. Another good day but legs still knackered.

Alcatraz is an interesting place, it hids great misteries, lots of history and so on. Pictures are fantastic and if we think how hard the was there, we can give more importance in our real life.
